Our Kashmiri brethren kicked out of their homeland, in a state of human, economic, and political brutality, they have been thrown to a life of refugees, at the mercy of the goodwill of fellow human beings and vagaries of chance ? a leaf in a storm. Every year KOA gets hundreds of letters from KP?s, mostly from Jammu, seeking financial help for their loved ones undergoing serious medical conditions. People in refugee camps are suffering numerous ailments. Harsh climate, unhealthy living conditions, high stress level have led to depression and a variety of ailments among the refugees. Problem is compounded by lack of medical facilities and equipment in the nearby areas. There are many instances where some people cannot even afford medication for their ailments. Demand is very high, there is a constant need for support, please help. Please donate generously towards KOA?s Medical Fund. Your Community needs your help. Thank You.

The refugee camps in Jammu and Kashmir house hundreds of thousands of Kashmiri Pandits displaced from their homes as a direct result of the Islamic militancy in the valley. This tragedy has resulted in children being denied the opportunities that we take for granted.
Since 1995, the Kashmiri Overseas Association (KOA USA) (registered non-profit tax exempt organization) has implemented the Sponsor-A-Child Program for the age group 5 year olds to 17 year olds. This program aims to provide educational opportunities to the children directly affected by the tragedy. While individuals worldwide have contributed to these programs more children are in need of our financial support than currently available funds can support, there are many more that deserve our assistance. Facts about this volunteer-driven program:
Goal: To provide tuition, school supplies and living expenses to school children who are currently living in refugee camps.
Zero-Overhead Program: 100% of the funds collected are distributed to the selected children through a registered non-profit organization in India. All people managing and coordinating these programs are volunteers.
COST: $200/year or Rs10, 000/-
Your contribution in US $ is tax-deductible. Some members also pay in Rupees in India. Provide your assistance today and help create a better family for tomorrow. This is a book about the destruction and injustice Kashmiri Pandits have met in the ongoing war in Kashmir, with a historical perspective of their previous crises and their identity. This is the story of Kashmir Problem, as it has come to be called after Pakistan's clandestine attack on Kashmir in 1947.
The book was written because there does not exist a similar book with facts and figures of Kashmir Problem, something the Government of India should have produced.
The objective of the Centre is to preserve and promote the art ,culture and scholarship of Kashmir as contained in its books, documents, articles, magazines, manuscripts, art objects, museum artifacts, photographs and so on.
