| Members in KOA Zone 10 (Southern California) is organizing a two-night
(3-day) camp in San Bernardino Mountains/Forests (in Angelus Oaks). Angelus
Oaks is about two hours drive from Los Angeles, CA. We have reserved rustic
cabins in the Angelus Oaks forests for Oct. 11 and 12th (Friday night and
Saturday night). There is no tent camping available nearby (the nearest camp
ground is eleven miles away), so we will all stay in cabins surrounded by
the pine forest. The camp
starts on Friday - 6:00 PM and ends with brunch on Sunday at 12 Noon. The
cabins contain regular beds and some of them have kitchens, all of them have
private bathrooms. Depending on the responses that we will have for this
outing, we will be sharing some of the cabins. We invite you to join us for
this get together in wilderness.
Cost: If you would like an individual cabin, (a cabin has a double bed and
a bath), it costs $70.00 - $125.00 per night. Most of us will share a cabin
with other friends, the price per head per night will come to about $20-$25.
The final prices will, of course, depend on the numerical strength of the
total number of the participants.
Food: The food arrangements will be delegated after we know who and how
many are attending.
Location: Angelus Oaks is in San Bernardino Mountains, on the way to Big
Bear Lake. Nearer our cabins are the National Forest for hiking and a lake
for fishing. More details on activities etc. will follow.
More information about the site, directions etc will follow after we make
the final reservations after your responses. So come and join us.
