KOA - ZONE 2 - PICNIC

Place:Hopkinton State Park (Lake & Beach)

Arrival:Between 10:00 & 11:00 a.m.

(Early arrival is a plus for parking and good sitting site)

Location:

Hopkinton State Park is located in the town of Hopkinton on Route 85 (Rte. 85 runs North-South). After you enter the park, follow directions for Main Area. Park near the beach and rest rooms.

Directions:

From Route 9:

Coming from Boston (Rte. 9 Westbound): After Rte. 9 and MassPike interchange, go for about 2 miles, Rte. 85 will cut Rte. 9. At this point take Rte. 85 South also called Cardaville Road (towards Milford/Hopkinton). On Rte. 85 South, after about 4 miles, the park is on your left.

Going towards Boston (Rte. 9 Eastbound): After I-495 interchange, Rte. 85 cuts Rte. 9. At this point turn right on to Rte. 85 South. On Rte. 85 South, after about 4 miles, the park is on your left.

From MassPike:

Take exit # 12 for Rte 9. After the tolls, stay left and take the ramp for Rte. 9 West. From Rte. 9 West, take Rte. 85 South. On Rte. 85 South, after about 4 miles, the park is on your left.

From I-495:

Take exit # 23 for Rte. 9 East. From Rte. 9 East, turn right on to Rte. 85 South. On Rte. 85 South, after about 4 miles, the park is on your left.

Please do the following:

1. Picnic tables are available in the park, but if you get something to sit on, such as folding chairs and/or mats for your family, it will help.

2. It is a potluck type picnic, therefore, choose your own menu. Bring sufficient for couple of families along with serving spoons and other necessities.

3. Bring whatever you need for your family from the following

a) Naan / Chapatee / Rice

b) Water Melon / Any other fruit / Cucumber / Salad

c) Pepsi / Coke / Juice

d) Chips / Yogurt

Note:

Alcoholic Beverages are not allowed in State Parks. Plates, glasses, spoons, and forks etc., will be supplied from common fund. Bring your portable grill to barbecue if you want.

If you have Cricket set, other games, please bring with you. Don?t forget to bring your bathing suits.
